Good Shepherd school provides a platform for students to develop holistically by balancing academics with extra-curricular activities. The school has designed to make learning less stressful for the students by creating various club activities. These activities are intended to enhance the learning skills of the students. It also provides plenty of opportunities for students to take on leadership roles and showcase their talents.

ART CLUB

The Art Club aims to express oneself creatively and skillfully.It allows pupils with the shared interest in art to gather and create art.It also provides a platform for students to gain a greater understanding of concepts and ideas in Art.


Proposed Activities:
  • Basic steps for pencil shading
  • To draw pictures using oil pastels and watercolour
  • Various paintings using glass
  • MANDALA ART - to improve the creativity and concentration of the students....

MUSIC CLUB

"SING AND MAKE MUSIC FROM YOUR HEART TO THE LORD." EPHESIANS:5:19. The skill of music is inscribed in the heart of every believer.GSMHSS MUSIC CLUB aims to create creativity among the students , focusing to bring out the hidden God given talents. The club provides an opportunity to explore and rejuvenate the different forms of music.

  • Art of Carnatic music
  • Western classical vocal
  • Keyboard and Guitar classes

DANCE CLUB

Dancing is a fun physical activity,which helps to build physical health and mental health of the children.

It aims to provide space for the students to express their ideas,creativity and emotions through dance. It helps to build confidence andto stay fit.


Proposed Activities:
  • Introduction and Basics of the Contemporary Style.
  • Basic steps on the Indian Folk style.

ECO CLUB

"Nature is not a place to visit. It is a home "-Gary Snyder.

We cannot protect our planet Earth, unless we empower people, inform them about nature and help them understand that these resources are ours. Only if we all come together, we can protect our planet Earth.

I cannot do all the good that the world needs, but, the world needs all the good that I can do for Mother Earth.The Eco Club ensures that the members of the club will be benefited from the activities.

DEBATE CLUB

The Debate Club is a part of the Literature Club which helps the students to nurture their debating skills and improve their ability to think spontaneously.It helps them to speak in a large group with confidence.The club primarily focuses on current affairs and world issues.It also promotes critical thinking among students which is the essence of the skill of debating.

Club membership provides the students an opportunity to participate in new roles and enable their identity exploration. The leadership roles that are available in clubs enables its members to learn valuable skills and gain valuable experience. The activities offered by the clubs also help the students to extend and elaborate on the more formal knowledge learned in school. The relationships formed with adult leaders and with peers at the clubs play an important role. They serve as models and as sources of social support, friendship, and caring through the club activities.
